For over 30 years, converters around the world have relied on our water-based primers to produce millions of reams of film-to-film, foil and paper extrusion laminations.
Aqua Based Technologies, a division of ADM Tronics, has a complete line of water-based primers which are used for extrusion laminating PE or Surlyn to a wide variety of accepting substrates. Our primers are very useful in improving adhesion of printing inks and other materials to various non-porous surfaces.
All of our primers are water-based, contain ZERO VOC’s and are in compliance with the strictest regulatory requirements and formulated from ingredients found on FDA lists cleared for food packaging.
Aqua Based Primers for Extrusion Laminating
Aquaforte® 108–W is a superior extrusion, lamination primer for use on a variety of substrates. It has been a proven successful primer in the flexible packaging industry for over 20 years. Improves ink adhesion, is non-yellowing and has excellent water, grease and oil resistance properties.
Polaqua® 710 Lamination primer for aluminum foil. For adhering films and metals to extrusion coated polyolefins. High bond strengths are achieved with only small application levels.
Polaqua® 103-L Primer for polypropylene, polyethylene and other films. It exhibits excellent grease, oil and moisture resistant bond strengths with only small application levels.
Aqua Base CoteTM Primer 50 is an excellent leveling primer for uncoated base stocks. Use on a variety of base stocks of paper and films. High bond strengths are achieved with only small application levels. Excellent ink adhesion, water and moisture resistance. Contains NO chromium or heavy metals.
