A "green" company

In 1969 Dr. Alfonso DiMino founded Tri-Pi Plastics Packaging, a laminating company. Due to some restrictive zoning and safety laws, he was forced to stop using the standard solvent based adhesive for laminating PET to LDPE. He then used his expertise as a chemist and physicist to develop a completely environmentally safe, non-toxic, non flammable replacement for the dangerous adhesive. This was the forerunner to ADM Tronics line of aqueous extrusion, laminating and printing primers used today by the converting and packaging industry.

Today, Aqua Based Technologies ™, a division of ADM Tronics, continues to develop, manufacture and supply innovative water-based primers, adhesives, coatings and additives for many applications used in the food packaging, pharmaceutical, wall coverings and converting industries worldwide.
